Experts carried out the basic visual test and believed that his body would have been mummified about 200-years ago. The identity of the monk is unclear, but there is a speculation that he could be the guru of Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov, who was a Buryatia Buddhist Lama of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Itigilov was also mummified and is best known for the lifelike state of his body.
