When you think about traditional beauty standards, you probably have a very specific vision in your mind. But one journalist thought that perhaps those beauty standards were cultural rather than unviversal. Esther Honig took a picture of herself with her hair back and no makeup on. She then sent that picture to Photoshop artists in 21 different countries and asked them to change the picture to reflect their country’s beauty standards. What resulted was nearly two dozen very different pictures of beauty.
