There’s A Surreal, Magical Place In France, And It Was All The Dream Of One Man

We all know about Euro Disneyland, and about Banksy’s quasi-successful, sarcastic take on theme parks, but if cuteness and unmitigated snark aren’t your thing, Europe is home to another magical getaway. This place is refreshing in its honesty and artistic merit.

We’re talking about Le Moulin Jaune — a hauntingly beautiful garden and park located about an hour outside of Paris. It’s a surreal place full of ever-changing exhibits and seasonal gardens, but what’s really remarkable is that it was born from the imagination of one man.

The park is named for the bright yellow castle that sits along the Marne River.
