13. The Strange Mystery Of The Sarah Joe.
In February 1979, Benjamin Kalama, Peter Hanchett, Scott Moorman, Ralph Malaiakini and Patrick Woesner set sail for a pleasant fishing trip off a seventeen-foot Boston whaler called the Sarah Joe. They had a wonderful day at the beginning however the wind got harsher and a storm arrived. Peter’s father, John Hanchett became concerned and went out to search for them, later joined by marine biologist John Naughton and Commander Jim Cushman of the Coast Guard by the third day. But no hint of the Sarah Joe nor the five men was found at that time.
